CNDS serial round counter flow FRP cooling tower is an advanced product summing up of many years’ experience of designing and manufacturing cooling tower with perfect technology and reliable performance. The cooling tower has passed the inspection and test for the running tower and all kind of performance data have hit or exceed the national standard value stipulated in GB7190.1-1997 “Medium-and-Small Scale Cooling tower of Plastic with enhanced glass fiber”. It has been widely used in the circulating water system in such fields as Air-conditioning, Electric, Chemical, Metallurgy.

1. Tower Type

CNDS serial counter flow cooling tower applies the full steel structure with FRP enclosure casing, a stairway is designed on the tower block so that it’s easy to climb up to top of the cooling tower for normal maintenance.

2.Performance

By practice inspection of long-term project, this type of cooling tower has stable and credible performance, its technical targets have greatly excel the national standards, such as thermodynamic performance, noise and so on.

3.Fan

The axial fan special for cooling tower is proposed in this proposal. The application in actual tower indicates that this kind of blade has characteristics of high efficiency, high flow capacity, proper pressure of air, and its performance curve specially conforms to the actualtest data.

4.Motor

The Y serial outdoor motor, manufactured by leading manufacturers of motor in China, is commended.

5.Water Distribution

The piping water distribution system with the three-spitting anti-looseness nozzle is applied in this proposal. Nozzle is the important component of water distribution. The three-spitting nozzle that sprays down is applied in this proposal. The material of nozzle is ABS. The nozzle has good characteristic such as well-proportioned distributing water, lower working hydraulic pressure, difficult to be obstructed and wide range of water load etc. The nozzle and piping are joined stably so as to assure the distribution system keep safe running for a long period. The service life of nozzle is no less than 15 years at normal condition.

The water distribution system designed by our company is high capacity of anti-impaction of hydraulic load. The actual operation indicates that it is still run normally when the hydraulic load is 130% of normal capacity or the hydraulic load is 70%.

6.Filling

The appropriative PVC film filling for roun coling tower is applied in this proposal. Its physical and chemical fully complies with the requirement of code ‘DL/T 742-2001 Specification for Plastic Component of cooling tower’ which is issued by Energy Ministry Power programming bureau. It has characteristic of larger contacting surface area, lower resistance, The filling sheet, produced by hangzhou Qinyi Plastic Plant of Energy Ministry , is high in coefficient of heat radiation, good in hydrophilic property and fire retardant , strong in suitability, etc. Its anti-flaming oxygen index is more than 40. The filling sheets are glued into filling block, and the strength of filling block is more than 300Kg/m2. Its service life shall be no less than 15 years at normal condition.

7.FRP Structure Part

The enclosure plate in this proposal is made of FRP material, its solidify degree is larger than 80%, its bending strength is larger than 147Mpa, its hardness is larger than 35, the content of resin in construction layer is 50%, the bubble of 3~5mm diameter on the tower surface is no more than three in one square meter, and the biggest superficial bubble can’t be over 5mm. The assistant material is resin which is high quality product from Changzhou 253 factory. The surface coating is the qualified coating resin, made by American Ashland Chemical Co. Ltd. The FRP goods has uniform surface and color, and it won’t fade and chap after long-time use. Its properties of physical and chemical are conformity with the requirement of GB190-97. Its operation life is not less than 20 years.

8.Passage for maintenance

The convenient maintenance for the tower is fully considered in this proposal. A stairway is designed on one side of the tower block so that it’s easy to climb up to the fan deck for maintenance of the fan.

9.Corrosion Resistance

Corrosion resistance of steel structure is an important step for assuring the quality of the cooling tower. In order to assure the quality, all of steel structure and the ladder shall be done the hot-galvanized treatment of corrosion resistance. The service life of steel structure is not less than 15 years. Moreover, for avoiding the galvanization surface will be damaged under the process of onstruction, pre-installing is carried out.

10.Low Resistance and Efficient Optimization Design

This proposal is a result from summing-up and studying the years’ experience of design and fabrication of the counter flow cooling tower with similar model and similar flow rate. To seek the best cooling effect for a cooling tower , our technicians have being done a mass of experiments by simulating different conditions to seek the best data of design and to decrease the resistance of tower as possible.

In this proposal, there are much margin for such data as the thermal performance value of filling, air flow of fan and the power of motor so that the cooling tower can continually work under the condition with bad weather and impact load.
